Lotus landed at the shelter with more than 30 other cats after their owner passed away. This senior has recently been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, but he takes his twice-daily medication easily in his food. Shelter life is stressful for Lotus—he’s clearly much happier in a quiet room where he can decompress. While in foster care, he adjusted well and showed he can thrive with a bit of comfort and time.
