About Colbey
Colbey is a laid-back older cat who enjoys his routines and has a notable fondness for sunbeams and cozy cuddle beds. He prefers his Tiki senior dry food and Sheba wet food, and will politely (though firmly) let you know when it's mealtime. Colbey doesn't have experience around kids, but in a calm adult home, he opens up and shows his affectionate, quirky side. Although he once started off timid, he now confidently explores his space, poking his nose into anything that looks interesting or pushable—he's a true feline detective, even if his jumps are low and slow these days. He makes the most out of cozy cat condos, curling up on the lower levels, and especially enjoys the view while waiting for breakfast. Colbey gets overstimulated by too much attention at times but is easily distracted by treats or a little play with wands or catnip-filled toys. He's very friendly once trust is established and rivals any couch potato for nap ability. With other animals, Colbey would do best as the only cat and he prefers calm dogs that respect his space, though he’s learning to coexist with them by having his own room. Colbey is fully litter box trained (non-clumping or pellet litter works best) and keeps a quiet, low-key presence—unless it's mealtime, when he's not shy about speaking up. For anyone wanting a grumpy old man with a heart of gold, Colbey is ready to fill that role. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
