About Marsh

Marsh is a 100% American Bully with a big heart, plenty of love, and a knack for obedience. He’s put in the work—he knows sit, drop it, come, and his off-leash recall is as sharp as they come. Marsh enjoys off-leash walks, is crate trained, house trained, and does well with both a wireless training collar and an invisible fence. When it comes to family time, Marsh doesn’t hold back. He’ll curl up in your lap if you let him, and he’s always ready for car rides, treats, or just hanging out close to his humans. Marsh does well with horses and cows, but his prey drive makes him a poor fit for cats, chickens, or other small animals. With older children (8 and up) and most adults, he’s a loyal and affectionate friend. Marsh is protective of his people, so slow, controlled introductions with strangers work best. He should be the only dog or live with a calm, non-dominant companion. Marsh currently lives with a senior English Bulldog; they generally get along but have clashed over toys and attention, so supervision is important. Marsh comes neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, and he’s on heartworm prevention as well. He weighs about 54 pounds and is based in Zuni, VA, but transport assistance is possible for approved adopters. Give Marsh a family who gets him, and he’ll reward you every day. Questions about Marsh

  • What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

  • How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?

American Bullies like Marsh benefit from having a securely fenced outdoor area to play and burn energy—they're not high-strung, but regular walks and room to run help keep them content.

  • Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?

Marsh is suitable for homes with older children (8+), which matches what’s typical for American Bullies: they do well with kids, especially when raised alongside them, but supervision with younger children is recommended.
