RICO 🌩️ "Thank goodness you came for me." 🚗💙 That's basically how Rico's story with us started. During one of those awful storms with pounding hail and heavy rain, Rico was found tucked up on someone's porch just trying to stay safe. When we arrived, he calmly climbed right into the front seat of the truck like he knew he was finally okay. Now this sweet boy is looking for a home of his own--you see, we found his previous owner and unfortunately, he is not in a place to care for Rico any longer. Rico DID have a home. He would fit his giant self into the recliner with his person, go on walks, and sit pretty for his favorite snacks. Now he sits alone, in a loud shelter, wondering why... We believe Rico is primarily Boxer, around 4 years old, and truly the perfect mix of fun and laid back. He enjoys playing with his ball, showing off his catch skills, and even playing a little "soccer" with you in the yard -- but he's just as happy lounging nearby once playtime is over. He's not wild or over-the-top... just a gentle, easygoing guy who wants to be close to his people. Rico knows sit, stay, and catch, and carries himself with the calm, lovable personality of a big teddy bear. He has the kind of presence that makes you feel comfortable immediately. Steady. Sweet. Loyal. He's the type of dog who would happily spend the evening laying beside you after a little time outside with his favorite ball.
