Meet Bailey Bailey is a 5-year-old Boxer mix who was surrendered to the shelter and is now looking for a calm, understanding home where she can feel safe and loved again. Bailey is a nervous girl who needs gentle coaxing and patience when meeting new people or experiencing new environments. Once she feels comfortable, she is sweet and gentle, but she will need a family that understands she may take a little time to warm up. Bailey previously lived with children, but because loud noises and fast movements make her nervous, we are recommending a home with children over 10 years old who can respect her space and move calmly around her. Bailey appears to have been around cats before, as she showed curiosity but remained calm and uninterested when tested around shelter cats. She may be able to live with cats with proper introductions. When meeting other dogs, Bailey does best with calm, low-energy dogs. A very energetic puppy was too overwhelming for her, but she did well with a calmer dog where they were able to sniff and stand together comfortably.
