Get ready to fall in love with the one and only Jasper, a canine companion who's truly one-of-a-kind. Jasper is a lovable and adventurous dog with a strong personality. He’s like a manly-man in dog form, ready to chop wood and build a fire for you. He’s super strong and independent, but he also forms deep bonds with a few special people who he considers his leaders. He’s not too social with other dogs, but he warms up quickly to new people. Oh, and he loves to go to the vet hospital! He’ll play with everyone in the back there, making sure to greet everyone he meets. Jasper is totally cool with spending time alone, away from crowds and loud noises. He’ll howl at the sound of a fire truck, ambulance, or police car, but he’s also a great car rider and loves to load and unload on his own. Toys and treats are his favorite things, especially Milkbone peanut buttery Soft Chews and dog biscuits. I buy the 15-pound box because he gets a treat every time he goes back to his crate voluntarily. He didn’t know what a dog treat was at first, but now he can’t get enough! Jasper needs a fenced-in yard with a 6-7 foot fence height so he can stay safe and focused. He also needs a doggie door to the yard area so he can come and go as he pleases. He loves to play outside with his toys, especially when it’s time for “keep away” with you. Jasper is a super chewer, so make sure to buy toys that are tough enough for him. I will send his favorites with him. Jasper is totally crate trained and house trained. He’ll bark to let you know when he needs something, like food or water when he is in his crate. You can have a crate available for when you have to leave the house. Jasper is the alpha dog of the house and would be the leader of a pack if he had one. Jasper’s daily routine starts at daybreak with his first potty break of the day. He also has a special breakfast of roasted chicken and rice at 7:00 AM, and dinner at 5:30 PM. He’ll remind you if it’s time for his meals! Jasper has had two professional evaluations, and I have the videos available for you to watch. Jasper is great with people and loves to be around them. He’s a social butterfly and doesn’t care much about other dogs. He’s more interested in interacting with people. Jasper is happiest when he is the only dog and has food and toys and a comfy place for his naps and bedtime. Due to his size, I recommend keeping young children away from him. He’s a big guy! Jasper is a playful pup who loves his toys. When I gathered them for a trip to the washing machine, he gave me a look like he was asking where I was taking them. He may have had a rough past and a sad memory of abandonment, but he’s only had good memories and experiences since being rescued from a rural Georgia community. He’s been loved and cared for ever since he came into my life. Jasper is smart and a great dog. He’s also neat, clean, and orderly. Over the past months, we’ve grown to love and trust each other. I’ll miss my big guy, but he needs his own home and family to love. He deserves to be the top dog and the king of his castle. I’ve taught him to look you in the eyes, give big hugs, and a kind kiss on your head. When he first came to me, he wouldn’t look at me, which broke my heart. But now, he’s changed. Whoever gets to know Jasper will have a best friend for life. He’s going to leave so many lasting impressions on your heart.
