About Tilly

Meet Tilly, a 2-year-old merle English Bulldog who appears to have recently discovered that the world is, in fact, full of absolutely incredible things. Grass? Amazing. Sidewalks? Incredible. People at cafes? Her personal fan club. A leaf blowing across the patio? Life-changing. Tilly’s world used to be pretty small, and she spent much of her previous life mainly confined to the house. So now that she’s getting out and experiencing life, she is making up for lost time with the enthusiasm of someone who just got handed an all-access pass to the universe. She is curious about everything, delighted by the little things, and deeply committed to investigating the world one goofy bulldog moment at a time. She’s also just plain fun. Tilly is sweet, friendly, playful, and gloriously silly. She has that classic bulldog combination of confidence and clumsiness, where she can look like a tiny tank and a baby deer at the exact same time. She loves to play, loves other dogs, and brings a happy, slightly ridiculous energy wherever she goes. She is the kind of dog who can make an ordinary afternoon feel like a sitcom. And then there’s her softer side. Tilly is a total cuddle bug. For all her playful nonsense, she really just wants to be near her people, soak up affection, and settle in for some quality snuggle time once the day winds down. She’s house trained, crate trained, good on leash, and has been well behaved in cafes and crowds, which makes her a pretty charming plus-one for Bay Area life. Outdoor coffee? She’s in. Patio brunch? Obviously. A stroll where she gets to look at every single thing like it was invented just for her? Ideal. In case you’re wondering, yes, she does have a few bulldog trademarks. She snores sometimes, which honestly just adds to the experience. And in a stunning act of personal restraint for the breed, we are pleased to report that her farts are not a major lifestyle issue. Tilly is looking for a home that will appreciate her exactly as she is: a playful, affectionate, curious 52-pound goofball with a big head, a bigger heart, and a real talent for making people laugh. She would do especially well with someone who understands and loves bully breeds—their quirks, their sensitivity, their comedy, and their very specific talent for acting like the most important creature in the room while also tripping over their own feet. She’s not trying to be an athlete, an influencer, or a spiritual guide. She’s just Tilly: happy, lovable, a little absurd, and very ready for her next chapter. For the right bully-savvy home, she is going to be an absolute star. Please fill out an application to meet her! https://www.welcomehomesanctuary.org/adoption-application
