Oxxo is a one-year-old, six-pound terrier/chihuahua mix with a whole lot of love packed into a very small frame. This sweet boy is as affectionate as they come — he loves to be held, happily curls up in your lap, and will soak up every bit of attention you offer. He’s a bright, eager-to-please little guy who is working on his house training and doing well with consistency, regular outings, and lots of praise. Oxxo thrives on encouragement and clearly wants to get it right. He enjoys his meals, adores his treats, and is always ready to learn. Oxxo is also learning how to be left alone. He may cry at first, so a home that can offer gradual, shorter periods of alone time will help him build confidence and feel secure. He hasn’t had much experience being home alone yet, so patience and a gentle routine will go a long way. Because of his tiny size, Oxxo does best with small, gentle dogs or as your one and only. Bigger animals can feel overwhelming to him. He hasn’t yet been around men or cats, so slow, thoughtful introductions will be important. His gentle spirit is very receptive to love, and he will thrive in a home that meets him with the same kindness and reassurance. Don’t let his love of snuggling fool you — Oxxo also has a playful, energetic side and will happily bounce around before settling back in for cuddles. He brings warmth, companionship, and a quiet kind of joy that fills a home quickly. If you’re looking for a devoted little companion who will stay close and love you deeply, Oxxo might be your perfect match. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines. His adoption fee is $300. All Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines and have microchips prior to adoption. Adoption fees vary depending on age of dog. Fees help Second Chance Dog Rescue cover spay/neuter costs, vaccinations, medical treatments, food and supplies. Please go to www.secondchancedogrescue.org and complete an application today! All dogs live in private foster homes until they are adopted.
