Suzzie, affectionately called Suzzie Q and a dozen other sweet nicknames, is a 7-year-old English Cocker Spaniel with a gentle and affectionate nature. She’s happiest cuddled up next to her person, dozing quietly until she senses a treat or some attention coming her way. Suzzie may start out shy and is sensitive to sudden movements, but as she settles in, her loving and playful side takes the lead. Treats are her favorite thing in the world. She’ll wait politely at doorways, knows "no," and is mastering "sit" and "wait." Mealtime is a highlight—she’ll nudge your legs in excitement, then dash into her crate, eager for dinner. A slow feeder helps her pace herself. She loves zooming around the backyard and gets the zoomies with a burst of energy but is still learning to enjoy her collar and leash. Her crate is her sanctuary: she naps there during the day, sleeps through the night accident-free, and retreats there whenever she’s unsure. Just be ready for a morning greeting if her crate isn’t covered! Suzzie is dog-friendly and does well with children eight and up. She hasn’t met cats yet. She’s spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm tested, and gets monthly preventatives.
