About Izzy

**Here in New Hampshire** Meet Izzy! Izzy is a four-year-old Yorkie weighing about 12 pounds who is currently in foster care in New Hampshire, learning what it means to be loved and part of a family. This incredibly sweet girl came from a breeder release situation and, unfortunately, missed out on a lot of early socialization. Because of that, she’s still building confidence and learning that the world can be a safe, happy place. Despite her timidness, Izzy has the gentlest soul. She doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. She wants so badly to love and be loved—offering little kisses, soaking up attention, and staying close to the people she trusts. She’s still figuring out how to fully relax and ask for affection, but every day she makes progress. Once Izzy bonds with you, she will bond deeply and become an incredibly loyal companion. Izzy absolutely thrives around other dogs and will need a confident canine companion in her forever home. Having another friendly dog helps her feel safe and gives her someone to follow and learn from. She also does well with cats. Because she’s still working on confidence building, Izzy would do best in a calmer, quieter home. Young children would likely be overwhelming for her, so an adult home or one with older, respectful kids would be ideal. Izzy is not leash trained yet, so a securely fenced yard is very important for her comfort and continued progress with house training. She sleeps well in a crate at night and is also comfortable in a playpen. She currently uses pee pads indoors, though her foster family is continuing to work on outdoor potty training and routine. Izzy is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, and will come with a health certificate prior to adoption. This sweet little girl has so much love to give—she just needs a patient, understanding family willing to help her continue blossoming into the happy, confident dog she was always meant to be. https://www.livefreerescue.com/adoption-application
