About America
America, or "Meri" for short, is a 56-pound tricolor hound mix ready for her next big adventure. Rescued from an overcrowded shelter, she’s come a long way and now boasts some serious indoor manners thanks to a completed board and train program. Meri has a big, outgoing personality and plenty of energy to spare. She’ll fit best with active families who love being outdoors, taking car rides, and exploring together. Always eager to snuggle after a day of play, Meri shines around other dogs and brings a sweet, affectionate spirit wherever she goes. She learns quickly, loves treats, and will make a wonderful sidekick for someone who appreciates an active, loving companion. Note she doesn’t get along with cats, so a feline-free home is needed. Meri was born July 24, putting her under Leo — no wonder she loves the spotlight and a good cuddle! Click apply to start the adoption process.
