Shadow is a cute 7-month old male Terrier mix puppy who was surrendered by his owner on April 18, 2026 for a very sad reason since he was no longer in a position to take care of Shadow or Fluffy (a 5-1/2 year old female longhaired gray tabby cat) who was also surrendered to HSOV that day). Shadow has a sleek black short smooth coat with mahogany highlights, a teeny tiny patch of white on his chest, a long tail, and an adorable face with expressive brown eyes, a square muzzle, and large semi-erect ears. This young man is merely an overgrown puppy and is full of playful energy. Shadow has a Type 'A' outgoing personality and never seems to have met a stranger. These photos were taken on the afternoon of April 24, 2026 when HSOV Volunteer Jennie Sherrard accompanied Shadow for his outdoor photo session. Shadow gave Jennie nice hugs while he begged for attention (and naturally Jennie obeyed his every wish .. who could say 'no' to Shadow's hopeful eyes and facial expressions?) Shadow weighs approximately 40 lbs and is still a growing boy. He is pretty active and energetic on a leash. Shadow will be neutered before he is adopted by his new family. He is available as a foster-to-adopt while he awaits his neuter procedure with an approved HSOV foster/adoption application.
