About Stewie
Meet Stewie. Yes, like Stewie Griffin—the name fits him well. Left on his own as a puppy, Stewie survived an attack by another animal and wasn’t in great shape when he first landed in foster care: underweight, weak, still battling the aftermath of a tough start. With consistent care, reliable meals, and a secure place to recharge, he’s bounced back remarkably. Now about a year old and weighing in at a healthy size for a young American Staffordshire Terrier, Stewie has fully embraced everything good about puppyhood. Due to his early injuries, Stewie will probably have lifelong weakness in his back legs, plus he’s a bit nearsighted. You’d never know it from his playful energy or the way he tackles stairs after a little coaching. He chases, plays, and explores just like any dog his age. Expect bursts of goofiness and mischievous antics followed by total relaxation as he stretches out for a nap. He’s nearly potty trained, enjoys playtime with his foster dog brother, and has learned to be polite with the household cat. Stewie has been adopted and returned through no fault of his own, but it hasn’t diminished his trust in people. He’s resilient, affectionate, and always ready for a snuggle after racing around the house. With his relentless spirit and easy affection, Stewie will fit right into a home where his quirks are seen as strengths and his silly side is welcome. Every good dog deserves a clean slate, and Stewie is ready to start his next chapter with a family who sees him. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
