Super sweet Shorty is independent and is quietly affectionate. When she would like to engage, Shorty will approach calmly, signal her willingness with a soft head nudge and accept gentle petting with obvious contentment. Shorty will initially act reserved, often observing from a distance and maintaining some space. She does not seek out attention often and may occasionally ignore unsolicited approaches or put on her "aloof hat." All our cats/dogs will be spayed/neutered, heart worm tested (dogs-age appropriate), FeLV/FIV test (cat/litter), microchipped, and current on vaccinations. We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis. We review all applications received to ensure that the animal and the applicant are a good match based on personal experiences with the animal. These animals live in foster homes with us, so we are familiar with their habits and behaviors. Home visits may be required prior to adoption approval.
