About Yumi

Yumi – ID #18813 – Kennel #313 – Arrived May 7th – American Pit Bull Terrier Mix – White and Brown – Female – 6 Months Old – 25 lbs (Estimated Adult Weight: 40–50 lbs) – Will Be Spayed Prior to Adoption – Up to Date on Vaccines – Heartworm Negative Meet Yumi, a six-month-old American Pit Bull Terrier mix who arrived at Cobb Animal Services on May 7th. She is a mostly white girl with soft brown markings, striking blue eyes, oversized ears that stand tall on her head, and the most expressive, gentle face β€” it is easy to see why she has been nicknamed a little bunny. At 25 pounds and still growing, Yumi has a lean, lightly built frame and is estimated to reach approximately 40 to 50 pounds as an adult. Her name, Yumi, means "beautiful" in Japanese β€” and one look at that face tells you it fits perfectly. Yumi may be a little shy at first, but beneath that gentle reserve is a sweet girl who is already working hard to show you who she is. She knows how to sit and stay β€” a remarkable thing for a puppy her age β€” which tells you she is eager to learn and ready to build on that foundation with the right person by her side. For a shy pup like Yumi, there is something truly special in being the one she decides to trust. Watching a timid animal slowly soften, seek you out, and choose you is one of the most quietly profound experiences a person can have. All Yumi needs is someone willing to give her the time and space to open up. Yumi deserves a home where she can grow into her confidence, continue learning, and be cherished for exactly who she is. She is young, she is sweet, she already knows her manners, and she is waiting for the person who will look into those blue eyes and know β€” without any doubt β€” that she belongs with them.
