This precious girl arrived at the shelter on April 29th after her family's landlord would not allow Pit Bull breeds — and through absolutely no fault of her own this incredible 10-month-old now finds herself in Kennel #21, still smiling, still wagging, and still being her very best self despite it all.   At just 10 months old Stella already knows sit, stay, and down — a smart, eager, and wonderfully responsive young dog who is also good with children, dogs, and cats alike. Stella has shown some resource guarding, which means she may be protective of her food, toys, or space. This is a very common and very manageable behavior, especially in a young dog — simply feeding her separately, avoiding reaching into her bowl while she eats, and working with a positive reinforcement trainer will go a long way in helping her feel safe and secure. With patience and consistency this girl is going to absolutely shine.   Stella is already spayed, heartworm negative, and up to date on all of her vaccines — ready for the loving home she so deeply deserves.
