About Rosie
Meet Rosie, a gentle Heeler mix with a soft merle red coat who was found as a stray, showing a lot of nerves when she first arrived. Over time in her foster home, she's built up some confidence but remains timid when meeting new people or experiencing new places, so new introductions need to be taken at her pace. Rosie does best in a patient, calm home with adults or older children, ideally 10 and up, who understand shy dogs. She does get along with other mellow dogs but prefers that they're couch potatoes who won't overwhelm her, and she also gets along well with cats. Rosie is deeply bonded to her person and will always choose being nearby, soaking up affection and reassurance. She's come a long way in the home environment, learning the rhythms of house life, and is house trained if kept on a schedule. Rosie prefers being walked for potty breaks rather than just being let out, and she rides well in the car—even if a tad anxious. She barks at strangers and loud noises out of uncertainty, so a quieter home fits her best. Rosie brings a tender, loving personality for the right family willing to let her build trust and bloom at her own pace. If you're after a loyal companion who loves cuddles and follows you everywhere, Rosie will deliver. Every Aries, like Rosie (born April 1), has a stubbornly sweet side that, once won over, is yours for life. Click apply to start the adoption process.
