About Kathey

***05/08/26 - Wake up West North Carolina 🌅 this one is for you!!!! Meet Kathey! Kathey is the first chi we have transported out of Texas to North Carolina! She left the Great plains for some smokey mountains 🏔️. Kathey is 4 years old and 6.5 lbs, and comes to us from the San Antonio shelter after she was brought in with a broken hind leg and a dislocated hip. Thankfully it was an older injury so sweet baby Kathey was not in pain 😭❤️, and she was incredibly mobile for such a broken doll. After speaking with the vet, we decided the best way forward for her recovery was to move forward with amputation. This way she wouldn't have to endure a plate, and hip surgery which would be months of recovery. A week ago, Kathey had her leg removed. Immediately when she got home, she was trying to roll around and zoomie like the lil crackhead she is! She had literally no downtime with her recovery and is just excited to live her crazy girl napping life! Kathey is a weirdo. I said it and I meant it. She loves other pups, but is a bully. She will try to instigate fights just so they know she is the boss, but will snuggle with her fosters like she wasn't a butthole to them when she got in. What she has in weirdness and turd behavior, she makes up for by being a hilarious lunatic. She loves to sleep like she's narcoleptic and will pass out anywhere and any time, she loves kids, she will just roll over and wiggle until you break down and give her kisses, then she will wiggle more. Kathey is housebroken, and is working to put on weight. She is obsesssssssed with you. Kathey would love a family where she can be their every thing. She wants to go shopping, to markets, on walks, get food, watch you poop, sleep in the bed... Like I said, this ho is obsessed. Interested in adopting this tripod mountain monster?
