Meet Dee Dee, a loving and friendly female dog who is estimated to be around 5 years old and weighs close to 9 lbs. Dee Dee gets along well with other dogs, having spent time in boarding/daycare and working with a trainer to improve her skills. She is timid with people at first but does enjoy being pet. You can pick her up and she rides well in a car. She has sat on the passenger seat or on a lap. You have to go slow with her but she did fine in a home with a 2 yr old and a 10 yr old. She can go on short walks The ideal family for Dee Dee will be one that can provide a stable and nurturing environment, offering her the chance to finally relax and know what it means to be a beloved pet. If the post is up, the dog is still available. About Us: Day of the Dogs is a 501c3 nonprofit. Since 2015 we have been dedicated to helping shelters increase live release. We coordinate 2 - 4 transports per month from TX, OK and AR to NW Indiana/Chicagoland and the Kansas City area. We do direct adoptions ourselves out of Kansas City and NW Indiana areas.
