About Tyson

Tyson is a handsome terrier mix, about a year old and full of youthful energy. He thrives on activity and spends his happiest moments outdoors, ideally with someone who enjoys walks and active time as much as he does. Tyson adores nylabones, soft toys, and is just beginning to figure out how much fun playtime can be. Inside, he’s gentle and affectionate, eager for attention and perfectly content being handled or picked up. He’s mostly housebroken, settles well into his crate, and will even put himself to bed when he’s ready to rest. When out in the yard, supervision is important—he’s got a real knack for exploring, can jump a 4-foot fence, and requires a privacy fence at least 6 feet tall to keep him safe, since he is a bit of a runner. Around food and toys, Tyson is relaxed—no resource guarding or begging. He’s currently living with another dog but would shine best as the only dog in the home, where he can focus on his training and strengthen his bond with you. Tyson gets along with dogs, cats, and kids, but isn’t a match for homes with small animals, and he can be shy around new men, warming up with patience and kindness. He’s not perfect yet—still a ‘door darter’ and needs continued work on obedience and house manners—but he’s already making progress and eager to please. If you’re looking for a loyal outdoor companion as much as a gentle inside friend, Tyson is ready to meet you in Union Grove, WI. Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today.
