About Stella
Stella’s story starts with hardship, but she’s come a long way. Pulled from a backyard breeding situation, she arrived nervous, under-socialized, and scared of new faces. Thanks to a trainer’s help, structure, and lots of patience, she’s settled into a foster home and is learning to trust both people and animals alike. Stella lives with three adults, a toddler, another dog, and a cat, and she’s grown fond of her “pack.” New people and places can still make her a bit timid, but she warms up steadily with gentle encouragement. She’s crate- and leash-trained, has quickly caught on to housebreaking with consistent routine, and keeps her crate spotlessly clean. She’s happiest in a calm environment with someone patient and attentive to her ongoing confidence-building. Stella likes her routines and regular walks, and continues to grow braver exploring quiet neighborhoods and pet stores. Underneath her shy shell, she’s sweet, happy, and has a unique prance that’ll make you smile. Give Stella time and consistency, and she’ll keep surprising you as she discovers the good in the world. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
