About Buttercup
Meet Buttercup, a 7-year-old Pembroke Welsh Corgi with a gentle heart and classic corgi personality. Fresh out of a former breeding situation, she’s adjusting fast to domestic life and already thriving with her foster folks in Buffalo, NY. Early on, Buttercup is shy, but trust builds quickly—expect her to stick close, gently nudging you for love and following your every move. She’s known for her affectionate greetings, happy bounce, and desire to always be part of the family circle. Buttercup gets along well with other dogs and can thrive either solo or with a canine companion. She prefers calm introductions and will set boundaries respectfully if dogs come on too strong. Most of all, she just wants to bond and play once she's settled. Housetraining is in progress, and she learns fast—she’s crate trained and quickly understands routines. She may mark a new space at first, but it’s easily managed. Her leash skills are developing, so a fully fenced yard is a must while she gains confidence outdoors. Because Buttercup hasn’t spent time with small children and, being herding bred, she may do best with older kids only. She’s spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and has had a recent dental. Buttercup is ready to trade her tough beginnings for a lifetime of companionship. Give her a chance, and she'll fill your home with warmth and that signature corgi smile. Start your journey together! Apply now.
