Meet Izzy! Izzy is a ~3.5 month old mixed breed puppy with a soft coat and the sweetest heart-shaped marking along her side. True to that little heart, Izzy is all about love. She has a gentle, affectionate nature and often leads her sister, Gabby, by example. Izzy is already doing a great job learning to walk on a leash and is picking up new things very quickly. After playtime, she settles down well and sleeps soundly through the night (about 7 hours!) to recharge for the next day's adventures. Like many puppies, Izzy enjoys having a teething toy to keep her happy and occupied. She currently sleeps in a playpen, tolerates a crate for car rides, and is comfortable being on the go. She had her first visit to HomeGoods and was an angel. She's great with children and other dogs, making her a wonderful fit for a variety of households. We don't yet have information on how she does with cats. Izzy would love a home with a yard where she can explore, but above all else, she'll thrive with someone who appreciates her sweet, gentle nature and loving personality. She already loves walks and adventures and is ready to take on the world with you. If you're looking for an affectionate, easygoing, but active companion with a heart full of love, Izzy might be your girl. Applications are encouraged in advance for those seriously interested in making her part of the family. Our adoption process is usually quick but may take up to two weeks. When you find an animal you are interested in, we ask that you fill out an application on our website, PawsUp4Rescue.org/adopting as a first step so we can determine if your family is a good fit for the animal. If you are, then we will contact you to arrange a time for you and your family to meet the animal so you can decide if it is a good fit. If you currently have dogs, we require them to be present at the meeting to ensure it's a good fit all around. Once compatibility is determined, we move on to the paperwork and finalize the adoption. If the meet is not a good fit, we will keep your application on file for 6 months and will gladly consider your family for another dog.
