Meet Holly, an approx. 2-3-month-old Hound mix, weighing 68 pounds (as of 5/6/26). Holly was a stray in Tennessee and was even a momma! Since her pups have been adopted, it's time for this lady to find her own home too. Hopefully it's with you! If you're looking for a precious, calm girl with an easygoing personality and a truly special soul, then stop reading and adopt Holly now. Seriously. Holly is everything you're looking for! She radiates love and kindness wherever she goes. She's chill with children, has experience with dogs, and even did well in cat testing. Holly also enjoys spending time with her people, relaxing at home, and taking leisurely walks. Doesn't that sound divine? She has done wonderfully with everyone she’s met and is both obedient and eager to learn. She's great on a leash, great in a crate, and is even house-trained! Holly would make a beautiful addition to a loving home looking for a gentle, devoted companion. She’s the kind of dog who would fit in perfectly with both young and old. Medical Disclosure: Holly has Erliquia and very light Anaplasmosis (tick-born diseases), but started Doxycycline to help treat it back in January 2026. She was also heart worm positive but was treated for this in February 2026. Holly hopes to bring you comfort and joy just like the Christmas song! And really, everyday will feel like Christmas. Don't wait for December! Deck the halls the Holly today! All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be. To adopt or learn more about Holly, you must fill out an adoption application. To find the application, copy and paste this URL into your browser: WWW.GDRNE.COM/ADOPTION-APPLICATION [Adoption Fee: $495] ** PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works. Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
