Zuri is a sweet and snuggly older dog looking for a patient companion to spend his time with. He is vision impaired due to cataracts, but that doesn't stop him from enjoying walks and being the best snuggle buddy once he's comfortable with you. His favorite pastime is being on the couch or in your lap sleeping! He currently lives in a foster home with a young cat and an older dog, and does wonderfully—he's so laid-back he barely seems to notice they're there! During his first few weeks in a new home, Zuri will need an adjustment period before his sweet personality shines through. During this time, he loves pets (butt scratches are his favorite) and going on walks, he just prefers not to be picked up. This isn't rejection, it's just how he builds trust! Once he feels secure and has bonded with you, he becomes an incredibly snuggly companion. Due to his age and vision impairment, Zuri would do best in a home with older children and/or calm, patient adults who understand and respect his need for space during the adjustment period. Once he's settled in, he truly becomes as sweet as pie. The adoption fee is $390.00. All animals are up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed/neutered.
