Scooter is a small Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua mix with a short, white and apricot coat. He’s a neutered male, around 5 years and 7 months old, and he’s currently in Southwick, MA. His vaccinations are current, and he is not yet house trained but eager to learn. Scooter gets along with both dogs and cats, making him a good fit for a multi-pet home.

About Scooter

Scooter was abandoned back in early 2026, and at first, he was a real handful—on edge, mistrustful, and quick to snap. Clearly, life hadn’t been kind up to that point. Since then, he’s surprised everyone: Scooter now gives kisses, wins over the staff, and has started trusting people again—though if something spooks him, that tough exterior resurfaces. Scooter still needs to be housebroken, but he’s smart and well on his way; it’s just impossible to make progress on that in a kennel. He loves the outdoors and would thrive as a barn or farm dog, always ready for a romp in the grass. Scooter gets along with cats and other dogs. He’ll be about 6 years old in October. If you’re patient, outdoorsy, and understand dogs with a bit of history, Scooter could become your loyal companion. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
