About Brownie

🐶 Basics ● Dog’s Name: Brownie ● Age / Size: 3 years old/ 8 lbs ● Rescued in Texas, surrendered by his last owner through no fault of his own 💙 Foster Note What I love most about Brownie is how sweet he is. He has such a calm presence and just wants to be near his people. One of his cutest quirks is rolling right onto his back for belly for rubs. 💛 Personality Snapshot ● Describe in 3–5 words: Gentle, calm, loyal ● Energy level (Low / Moderate / High): Low-moderate ● More people‑oriented or independent? Very people-oriented, he loves being close to his person ● How do they handle new situations? He may take a moment to observe new surroundings and settle in 🐕 Social & Home Life ● How are they with people (adults/kids/new people)? Brownie is good with adults and around small kids. He has a gentle, calm demeanor and enjoys attention and affection ● How are they with other dogs? He doesn’t really play much with other dogs, but he coexists very well and doesn’t mind having them around ● Cats or other animals (if known)? Unknown 🎓 Training & Manners ● Potty trained? Yes ● Crate trained? Unknown / still being assessed ● Leash skills: Brownie is still learning leash skills and prefers short, relaxed outings over long walks 🌞 Daily Life ● Typical day with you: Brownie loves lounging nearby, napping, following his people around, and soaking up belly rubs. He’s happiest just being part of the day-to-day routine ● Exercise needs: Low, Brownie is more of a cuddle companion than an exercise buddy and is happiest with short walks and lots of relaxing time. ● Favorite activities or toys: Belly rubs, cozy naps, and stuffed animals. 🌱 Growth Areas ● Anything they’re still working on? Brownie is still adjusting to a new environment and continuing to build confidence with leash walking and showing his full personality. ● What helps them succeed? A calm environment, patience, consistency, and lots of affection help him thrive 🏡 Ideal Home ● Only dog / With dog / Either: Either (but dog should have similar demeanor) ● Good fit for apartment living? Yes ● Best type of household (active, moderate, calm): Calm ● What kind of adopter would be the best match? Someone looking for a loving, low-key companion and true sidekick. Brownie would do great with someone who enjoys cozy nights, relaxed routines, and lots of cuddle time. He needs someone, who can devote time to him **Brownie previously tested positive for heartworm and was treated before he left Texas** INTERESTED IN ADOPTING?
