About Annabelle
Annabelle is as sweet as they come. She’s a gentle, affectionate soul who’s clearly ready for a peaceful life after her start in a puppy mill. Annabelle is calm, polite, and has learned to sit for treats. She doesn’t jump on people and rarely barks—even when the neighborhood canine chorus gets going, she keeps her cool. In short, she’s a very good girl. Her favorite thing is being close to her people. She’ll happily entertain herself, but she lights up when her humans are around. If you want a loyal, cuddly companion, she’s ready. Annabelle is a petite 16–17 pounds—healthy and trim. She’s got the hang of walks, ambling along with plenty of stops for “sniff-spections.” She also loves her food, so a little activity helps keep her fit. Squeaky stuffy toys are her weakness. She’ll zoom and play till she drops. While she’s happiest in a calm setting, Annabelle handles new things cautiously; she may cower at first, but with a little patience she’ll find her feet. She does best with gentle, calm children and gets along well with cats, mostly ignoring them. Annabelle likes other dogs but will guard her food and favorite toys, so she needs careful supervision and separation during meals and playtime. She’s reliable about going outside if kept on schedule, though she’s got the unusual quirk of sometimes eating her own poop—so quick cleanup is important. Annabelle has come a long way and is eager to share her warmth with the right family. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
