About Aspen
Aspen is a two-year-old German Shepherd Dog looking for a stable, committed home where she can find her footing. She’s currently being recommended for a single-dog household, as she needs structure and guidance around other dogs due to some reactivity and fixation observed in her boarding environment. Aspen can be shy with new people, but with patience, she’ll lean in for pets and seek connection once she feels safe. She’s coming out of a recent medical recovery, and her personality is still surfacing as her routine stabilizes. Aspen is house trained, rides well in the car, and has previously shown a gentle, loving demeanor with kids. She loves to run and enjoys being active when she has the space. However, she’ll need an experienced adopter who understands her need for consistency and who can offer reassurance as she adjusts. Aspen has shown some food guarding behavior, but this was during illness and may improve as she gets comfortable. She isn’t ready for a home with other dogs, but for the right person willing to earn her trust, Aspen could be a loyal and loving companion. Born on February 21, Aspen is a Pisces, known for their deep sensitivity and gentle strength. Your new best friend is just one click away.
