Aspen is a sweet girl who is looking for the right home to help her settle in and feel comfortable. She takes a little time to warm up to new people, but when she does, she will lean in for pets and start to seek out attention and connection. She's still adjusting to life after her recent medical recovery and time in boarding, and her full personality is still coming back as her routine stabilizes. What we know: Rides well in the car and settles nicely Previously did great with kids and showed a gentle, loving demeanor House trained Enjoys running and being active when given space What she's still working through: Reactivity and fixation on other dogs in the boarding environment - will need structure and guidance Takes time to warm up to new people Food guarding was observed while she was ill and should be re-evaluated now that she's healthy Aspen is expected to return to a moderate-high energy level and will need an experienced adopter who can provide structure, consistency, and patience as she continues to settle into a home environment.
