About Brownie

Brownie is a 10-month-old Australian Cattle Dog/Hound mix puppy whose red-speckled coat practically glows in the sunshine—almost as brightly as his big, happy smile. He’s still discovering the world around him and just beginning to learn how to play appropriately with other dogs, so he’ll need a patient and committed adopter who can provide consistent structure. Brownie will require a significant amount of socialization along with a strictly regimented training routine, and his new family must be ready to enroll him in a training and socialization class right away. With the right guidance, he has all the potential to grow into a confident and well-mannered companion. Brownie would thrive in a home with a young, very physically active family—ideally one with other dogs who can help show him the ropes. Cats, however, would not be a good match for him. He is currently available as a foster-to-adopt placement until after his neuter appointment, and his adoption fee is $150. If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm. My adoption fee is $150
