About Wally

Our adoption application can be found at the bottom of this pet's bio. Once your application has been approved, we can arrange a virtual meet & greet with you and Wally. Wally is currently in a foster home in Houston, TX and is eligible to transport to an adopter as soon as one is lined up. Meet Wally! Wally is a 12 week old male catahoula leopard dog who was being given away for free at Walmart. The woman who was giving him away said that she found him on the side of the road and couldn't bear to leave him there. Wally is fully vaccinated, microchipped and is ready to find his forever home! Wally will be adopted out on a neuter contract and neutered at 1 year of age. Wally currently weighs about 25 pounds with room to grow! We anticipate he'll grow to be a medium - large sized dog. We do not have either parents, so this is just a guess based off of our vet's recommendation. Wally is dog friendly and currently lives with multiple dogs in his foster home. He's so young that he's friendly with everyone he meets! His foster mom describes him as an all around lovebug! He also lives with cats in his foster home. The cats are kept separated through a baby gate and sometimes he'll sit and watch them, but he's never been mean towards them. Wally is also kid friendly! While he doesn't live with children currently, he's been around kids and he's always super happy and friendly! Wally is 90% potty trained, but he'll be looking for a patient family who can help get him to 100%! He is crate trained, but will cry a bit in the crate when we leave the house. Wally's personality is so snuggly and affectionate! He's so funny and constantly has us laughing! He will go and get toys from all around the house and bring him back to his bed to pick which one to play with. He's in his clumsy teenage phase right now and it's the cutest thing to watch! He reminds me of Bambi on ice. He is a young puppy and is currently teething, so chew toys and teething bones are encouraged! But he's not destructive. He's a young puppy, so he does get spurts of puppy energy, but for the most part, he's pretty low maintenance! He's the best TV and snuggle buddy around! All of our puppies under the age of 1 year old are highly encouraged to attend some form of obedience classes or training with their new adoptive family.
