About Beyonce
Due to border patrol restrictions, you'll be required to cross the border and meet in Blaine, WA to receive your pup :) Our adoption application can be found at the bottom of this pet’s bio. Once your application has been approved, we can arrange a virtual meet & greet with you and Beyonce. Beyonce is currently in a foster home in Houston, TX and is eligible to transport to an adopter as soon as one is lined up. Meet Beyonce AKA Bee! Beyonce is a 3 year old female who was rescued from a hoarding situation. Beyonce is what we like to call a Heinz 57... she’s got a little bit of everything! Her mom is a husky / lab / Catahoula mix and we have no clue about her puppy daddy. Beyonce currently weighs 37 pounds and is fully vaccinated, microchipped, spayed and ready to find a family to call her own! Bee is very dog friendly and currently lives with other dogs in her foster home. She is actually learning to be a dog from our other dogs. She feels much more at ease when she sees the other dogs playing and interacting with their humans. Bee is a pretty mellow girl who gets the occasional zoomies and enjoys daily playtime. While she is just as happy to snuggle on the couch, she does LOVE to run around in the yard and chase after her foster dog siblings. Bee has not met any cats yet, but we would be happy to cat test her for any serious potential adopters with cats. Bee is kid friendly! While she doesn’t live with children currently, she has been around a 5 year old boy and did just fine with him. She is shy in general when meeting new people, but once she warms up to you and knows you’re safe, she will be your best pal. Beyonce is more confident on leash when she has another dog to go on the walk with her. With another dog, she will stay right with you and calmly walk with you and the other pup. Bee is fully potty trained. While Bee is not a huge fan of the crate, she is GREAT if left out to free roam. Bee is great about sharing her food, toys and treats with her doggie foster siblings. Bee would thrive in a home with other dogs. She feels most comfortable around dogs and is learning to trust humans through them. She is moderately active and would love a home with her own yard. Here's a small blurb about Beyonce from her foster mom: Bee is one of the most LOVING dogs I have ever fostered. She absolutely loves being loved on. Once you are her person, she loves you hard. She is smart and loyal. She will do her best to climb on your lap and snuggle up for affection. She is so calm and sometimes you can actually forget she is there from how quiet she will be. We were initially meant to foster her for just a weekend, but quickly fell in love and decided to be her long-term foster because of her loving personality. We suspect that a man was not nice to her because Bee does not trust men. She started off very fearful of them and would keep her distance and not engage. However, over the last two weeks or so she has started barking any time one of our male family members enters the home or comes close to her. She will not take treats or let herself be petted by men. She does very well with females. Bee is a sweet, loyal, and loving girl who absolutely thrives in the company of other dogs. She is learning how to “be a dog” by watching and playing with her foster siblings, and she feels most at ease when she has canine companions by her side. For this reason, Bee’s ideal home will include at least one friendly resident dog who can continue to show her the ropes. Bee is moderately active. She enjoys daily playtime, the occasional zoomies, and running around the yard with her foster siblings. A fenced yard would be perfect for her. While she enjoys walks, she does much better walking alongside other dogs. Indoors, Bee is a mellow snuggle bug. Bee adores affection—once she bonds with you, she loves hard and will happily climb into your lap for love and attention. She is calm, gentle, and easy to have around the home. The best family for Bee will be patient and understanding. She is especially wary of men, so a female-led household will be the most successful environment for her. She does well with women and warms up to female strangers, but struggles to feel comfortable around men. Bee has done okay around a visiting child but isn’t especially playful with kids. She takes time to warm up to new people, so a quieter, more predictable household would help her feel safe and confident. With a loving female adopter, at least one dog companion, and a yard to play in, Bee will absolutely blossom into the loyal, affectionate, and happy pup she is.
