About Paprika

Paprika is a 2-year-old, 10 lb terrier/chihuahua mix who thrives on being close to her people. She wants to be someone's little shadow—expect gentle paw taps when she wants to be picked up, and prepare for lots of lap naps and kisses. Snuggles are her thing, and she’ll happily curl up just about anywhere as long as she’s right next to you. Potty training has gone really well—she’s nearly there, with almost no indoor accidents anymore. While she isn’t sold on the kennel, Paprika keeps it clean and settles down after a bit of initial whining, though she’s reliable free roaming the house for a few hours with no accidents or destructive habits. Paprika is crate trained and also gets along with dogs and cats. She truly needs a companion dog and a fenced yard in her new home, both non-negotiable. She can be wary when meeting new people—especially men—but, after some time and a few treats, she warms up. Once she trusts you, Paprika has no shortage of love to give. She hasn't met young kids, but given her sensitivity to sudden noise and movement, a calmer home or one with older, respectful children would suit her best. Initially timid with new dogs, she often does well with mellow, older pups, or surprisingly, young playful ones. Wrestling, playing tug, chasing balls, and frantic zoomies—all part of her routine. Around cats, she does great. Out and about, Paprika enjoys car rides and park time, even though strangers still make her nervous. She’s working on getting more comfortable out in public and just needs continued patience and guidance. Paprika craves closeness, playful companionship, and a gentle environment. If you can be her security, she’ll repay you in devotion. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
