About La Niña

La Niña – ID #18718 – Kennel 319 – Arrived May 3 – Chihuahua, Long Hair Mix – Black and white – Female – 2 years – 11.5 lbs – Will be spayed prior to adoption – Up to date on vaccines – Heartworm negative This is La Niña, and her story is one that will stay with you. This precious little girl was found alone in an apartment with her five babies, doing her very best to care for them all on her own. She is scared right now, and every bit of that fear makes sense — but underneath it, she is as sweet as they come. La Niña may be timid at first, but give her a lap to curl up in and she transforms. This little girl loves nothing more than being close to her person, soaking up warmth and safety after everything she has been through. She is the kind of dog who will burrow into your heart just as quickly as she burrows into yours. She is still finding her confidence in this big world, and on her first outing she made it very clear she would much rather be carried than walk — and honestly, can you blame her? A dog this small and this sweet was made to be cherished. With patience and love, she will come into her own at her own pace. La Niña will be spayed prior to adoption and is up to date on her vaccines and heartworm negative. She survived a hard start, raised her babies with devotion, and now it is finally her turn. Could you be the one who carries her — literally and figuratively — into the life she has always deserved? Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers.
