He is incredibly affectionate and people-oriented, always wanting to be near his humans whether that means following you around or curling up close by. You will fall in love with him after looking into his beautiful eyes. Despite his small size, he has a confident, playful energy and a surprising strength that makes him a fun and engaging companion. Apollo is already showing how smart and trainable he is. He has learned how to play fetch and especially loves tug-of-war with his small stuffed Lamb Chop toy. He is very treat motivated, pays close attention, and responds well to guidance, picking up on new behaviors quickly. With consistency, he has already stopped mouthing, and pays attention when directed not to jump on furniture, which speaks to both his intelligence and his respectful nature. For such a young puppy, Apollo is impressively adaptable and comfortable in a home environment. He does great around loud household noises like the Roomba, dishwasher, and laundry machine, and he handles shower time with ease. He also has some adorable quirks, including making a tiny howl when he yawns and loving to burrow under blankets or anything cozy. He is very quiet, settles incredibly well, especially when close to his human. Like any puppy his age, Apollo is still learning and will need continued support. He is currently working on potty training and improving his tendency to jump, and he will benefit from ongoing structure, positive reinforcement, and socialization. He gets along wonderfully with his sister Artemis (A1404888) and enjoys having a companion to play and interact with. Apollo would do best in a home that is ready for the time, patience, and consistency that come with raising a young puppy. He will thrive with someone who wants a smart, affectionate, and interactive dog and is excited to continue his training and development. With the right guidance, Apollo is going to grow into an incredibly loyal and fun companion.
