About Pongo
Pongo is a gentle soul who’s still figuring out that people can be kind and the world isn’t so scary. He’s shy and a little wary at first, but it’s not hard to see there’s a sweet, sensitive dog beneath his caution. With a mix of patience and support, he’s already started showing more of himself—and what’s coming out is pretty wonderful. In the right home, someone who can move at Pongo’s speed will help him discover his confidence and trust. He’s estimated between 3 and 5 years old, neutered, and current on all vaccinations. Pongo is putting in real work through the Paws of Hope program, learning structure and earning his AKC Canine Good Citizen certification. Every day he’s a little braver and a little smarter. He doesn’t want a perfect life; he just needs someone willing to believe in him. Once Pongo feels safe, the loyalty and love he’ll offer are second to none. Ready to meet your new best friend?
