Heidi has had a rough go, starting out abused and neglected before she was taken to Flathead Animal Shelter with one blind eye and a broken tail. She was adopted by an older couple and loved well until longterm illness set in for the couple and they could not care for her well, and now not at all as one has passed away and the other is in a care facility. Heidi is now 8, her vision is limited to shadows and she doesn't do well with younger kids. Despite this, she is a healthy, happy, playful dog who is good at entertaining herself with her toys and still loves to fetch, though it takes her awhile to find the ball! She is affectionate, has basic training, walks well on leash and rides well in the car. She has been boarded in a private kennelfor several weeks and needs a forever home asap. Heidi is spayed, current on shots, has all the supplies a dog needs. After her tumultuous life, she needs and deserves a patient, loving home for the remainder of her life. Please give her that chance.
