About Patricia

Age/Birthdate: 8 years • Weight: 70lbs • Breed Guess: Boxer Mix • Fully Vetted: Yes • Adoption fee: $350 Any Medical or Special Needs: None Temperament with: Dogs: Amazing! Cats: Completely ignores them! Children list specific ages: AMAZING! Strangers: Loves everyone! Training Needs: Crate Trained: Yes Potty Trained: Yes Patricia is the WHOLE package as an 8 year old Boxer (we think?) mix! This sweet girl was once a man's bestfriend. Unfortunately, her dad was hit and killed in a car accident and as a result, Patricia lost the once plush and comfortable life that she loved and was so accustomed to. Patricia (her actual name that she knows) is a chubby girl and can stand to loose 10-15 pounds but who can blame her dad for sharing his dinner with her! Yes, she knows the sound of a chip bag and immediately comes running. Yes, she knows it is dinner time and will quite literally try to climb in your lap and look cute for food (clearly it worked on her dad but her foster mom is working on breaking that habit lol) and yes, she will take a side of fries with that McDonald's cheeseburger but who can blame a girl - their fries are SO good! Patricia is currently going on "hot girl walks" in the morning and is enjoying moseying around and getting some good sniffs in! As she was once a well loved and taken care of gal, Patricia is potty and crate trained, is GREAT during bath time, has no issues with thunderstorms, and absolutely LOVES car rides and will gladly hop right in (regardless of her size and age, this gal is still agile!)! Patricia spends about 90% of her day sleeping and snoring and tends to snort when she first wakes up lol! She accompany's her foster to work at the accounting firm she works at and happily greets everyone and then goes back to her post where she naps! Patricia's two flaws consist of: attempting to counter surf. We say attempting as regardless of her weight, she is only comes up to about knee height (she is short and squatty and should have a wide load sticker on her behind) so she is too short to actually reach anything on the counter top. Her other flaw is she does jump up for hugs and cuddles so be prepared (her foster mom has a hard time telling her no because she wants to give her all of the love she wants after all she has been through). If you can look past her two flaws, Patricia is the PERFECT dog! She is a GREAT mix of energy as she EXACTLY matches the energy in the room! If you stop and sit down at your desk, she will also stop and sit down and most likely just fall asleep but if you're up for a walk or a car ride, so is she - especially if you're going to Starbuck's for a pup cup - count her in! She is a very quiet dog and hardly barks, she is not reactive towards other dogs while out on walks, and is GREAT with other dogs big (110 pounds) and small (10 pounds) as well as cats! While she lives with other dogs, she is more of a gal who very peacefully coexhists with the other dogs! The puppies she lives with jump all over her but she tends to just let them bounce off of her instead of engaging in play! Additionally, Patricia is also the ULTIMATE snuggle bug! While she might only listen to the word sit when food is involved, there is one trick she listens to 100% of the time and that is "come here" when you pat your legs! Wherever you pat and tell her to "come here", Patricia will come running and snuggle that exact spot! She is an EXTREMLY affectionate and snuggly gal and will gladly snuggle any time and any place! She also LOVES giving kisses with her beyond soft tongue so be prepared to always be smothered in love from this gal (snuggling is great with her as her coat is so soft, it's like holding a big, soft, squishy pillow)! She is a gal who enjoys sleeping in your bed/on the couch so be prepared to always have a dog shaped decorative pillow around! Patricia is an extremely loyal dog and very dutifully follows her foster mom around so if you are someone who recently lost a dog and are looking for another dog who went through a similar experience to you that will dote on you at all times, Patricia is your gal! She loves and adores her foster mom and will make whoever takes her home the absolute center of her world! She is in search of a family who will spoil her like the princess she is- take her on her hot girl walks, break her diet occasionally with some yummy treats, snuggle her, and just shower her with love and affection! She would LOVE a home where her family is home more often than not - she doesn't have separation anxiety and can be crated but you can just tell by how much she loves her people, that she would be beyond happy to always be by their side (in the words of the artist Sombr, "in a room full of people I (Patricia) look for you)! If you're able to take a dog into work, Patricia is also a GREAT candidate for that as she already does that with her foster! In conclusion, if you're looking for the perfect dog, look no further!
