About Acer Arriving D

Acer is a handsome 2 year old Chiweenie with a striking tricolor coat of black tan and white and a personality that will steal your heart just as quickly as he once stole a rib off a plate. Weighing about 18 pounds he's the perfect mix of cuddly and sturdy and does great with people of all ages including young children as well as other dogs big and small. Acer is incredibly affectionate and once he warms up which only takes a few minutes he bonds deeply and will happily stay right by your side making you his whole world. He's gentle even tempered intelligent and eager to please with a playful spark and a love for being close whether that's following you around the house or curling up next to you in bed. He keeps his kennel clean and is quick to head outside to potty and prefers to be near his person even at mealtime. Acer can be a bit vocal with new sounds or activity so he would thrive in a quieter home rather than an apartment where he can relax and feel secure. He came to us as an owner surrender through no fault of his own and is now ready for a home that will give him the time love and companionship he truly deserves. Acer is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 05/16/2026 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven't arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start's Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Visit our Foster to Adopt Program page to learn more. ---- This pet is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm disease. Activity must be restricted for several weeks during recovery.
