Meet Mama Trixie A kind Good Samaritan discovered Trixie living under her porch during the freezing winter months in Stamford. She had been feeding her and keeping a close eye on her when one day, she noticed Trixie was looking a little round… kittens were on the way! She reached out to Lucky Dog Refuge, and while we don’t have space for cats at the rescue, we always have space in our hearts. We agreed to cover her care if a foster could be found — no easy task for a soon-to-be mama. But thanks to an incredible family in Norwalk, Trixie had a safe, warm place to welcome her babies into the world. Now that her kittens have all found their forever homes, Mama Trixie is spayed and ready for hers. She’s a stunning, affectionate girl who loves people and has proven to be an amazing mama. Having spent time outdoors in the past, Trixie is curious about the world and would enjoy safe outdoor time like leash walks or relaxing in a catio. She has also lived with dogs and did wonderfully!
