Meet Bonnie! Bonnie is an adorable 5-month-old Border Collie/Hound mix with a sweet personality, playful spirit, and a bright, curious mind! She's a fun-loving girl who enjoys walks, running, playing ball, spending time outdoors, and being with her people and other dogs. Bonnie is intelligent, eager to learn, and already crate trained! We've recently noticed some natural herding instincts emerging, and Bonnie absolutely loves opportunities to use her brain! She responds beautifully to positive reinforcement and picks up new skills quickly. We think she would thrive with a family interested in continued training, enrichment activities, herding-related activities, or even canine sports. Bonnie has an independent personality and enjoys being involved in family activities. She's not necessarily the type to take a back seat, but she's very receptive to guidance and loves learning. She gets along wonderfully with children and other dogs. However, given her emerging herding instincts, a home with older children may be the best fit, as younger children may not fully understand her natural behaviors. Bonnie would benefit from a family that appreciates her personality while providing consistent, positive training. One of the sweetest things about Bonnie is how beautifully she balances playtime with relaxation. Despite her intelligence and enthusiasm for activities, she's actually a pretty laid-back puppy, especially for a potential Border Collie mix! She's perfectly content spending much of her day relaxing, playing independently with her toys, lounging nearby, or simply enjoying time outside. She loves affection and being close to her people but is equally happy entertaining herself. Bonnie is also doing very well with potty training! While she's still learning and has had a few accidents, she's making great progress with going outside for bathroom breaks. As with any young puppy, continued consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement will help her build on that progress. While Bonnie would love a family that encourages her natural abilities and enjoys teaching her new things, she isn't an excessively high-energy puppy. She's a lovely combination of intelligence, independence, playfulness, and an easygoing temperament. Bonnie hasn't been tested with cats, and we haven't observed any notable prey drive. We're also not sure yet whether she enjoys swimming! Bonnie is spayed and ready to find a family who will appreciate her bright mind, playful spirit, and affectionate heart.
