Gertie Girl is gearing up for her forever family! This pup is no stranger to home living, which is a big plus for any pup coming out of the shelter. While loud noises still scare her and she remains cautious with strangers Gertie was easily able to adapt to every day life in her foster home. She has basic skills such as house, crate and leash training mastered. She loves taking long quiet walks smelling all the new scents. Chew toys, treats and soaking up the sunshine are also on her favorites list. Despite looking like a hound/shepherd mix Gertie has some pretty amazing retrieving skills. She absolutely loves to play fetch and watching her is quite entertaining too with her acrobatic catches. Overall Gertie adjust pretty quickly to new environments, but not instantly. She needs a minute or two to ensure she’s safe. This pup weighs in at 45lbs at a year old with legs so long they’d make a super model blush.
