About Lydia & Beth

They Were Someone’s Whole World Once Some dogs come into rescue because they were never loved. Beth and Lydia are not those dogs. These two beautiful Australian Cattle Dogs came to us after being left on a quiet country road—confused, together, and waiting. Waiting in a way that tells you everything you need to know… they were loved once. Deeply loved. Our best guess? The person who adored them is no longer here—and someone else made the decision to leave them behind. But what they didn’t take… is what matters most. They didn’t take their bond. (They are sisters) They didn’t take their trust in people. And they didn’t take their ability to love again. Today, they are safe in a loving foster home, where they’ve shown us exactly who they are—and exactly how much love they still have to give. At 9 years old (DNA confirmed), Beth and Lydia are the definition of loyal companions- they are biological sisters from the same litter. Beth is the independent spirit. She still has a spark—she loves to play, enjoys every moment, and will absolutely light up at the words ā€œcar rideā€ (her favorite thing in the world). She’s easygoing, well-mannered, and carries herself with quiet confidence. Lydia is your shadow. Your protector. Your heart dog. She is deeply loyal and happiest right beside you—always watching, always loving, always there. Together? They are perfect balance. They are: āœ”ļø Leash trained āœ”ļø Fully potty trained āœ”ļø Exceptionally well behaved āœ”ļø Lovers of walks and long naps on the couch āœ”ļø Completely bonded—and must stay together And full transparency… they are currently enjoying their ā€œretirement eraā€ just a little too much šŸ˜„ Let’s just say they’re a bit fluffy around the edges and wouldn’t mind a home that includes some gentle walks and maybe slightly fewer snacks (they disagree with that last part). They don’t need chaos. They don’t need training. They just need someone to come back for them. Beth does have mild arthritis in her elbow and takes an inexpensive thyroid medication. Both girls have seasonal allergies—but nothing that stands in the way of a full, happy life. What they do need is a home that understands commitment—the kind of home that won’t let them wonder ever again why they were left behind. They gave someone the best years of their lives already. Now it’s their turn to be chosen again. We are looking for a home that will love them as family—where they will live safely indoors, together, and be cared for both medically and emotionally for the rest of their lives. Because dogs like Beth and Lydia? They don’t get ā€œsomeday.ā€ They only have today.
