About Arthur
Arthur is a 3-year-old German Shepherd who’s made it through more than most—rescued after Hurricane Helene and having spent a year and a half in a loving home before allergies tore it apart. His resilience and loyalty shine through. Arthur is sharp and biddable: he knows all his basic commands, is crate, leash, and house trained, and takes pride in good home manners. If you’re looking for a playful dog, his obsession with fetch (ball and frisbee both) is second to none. Yet for all that playfulness, Arthur’s just as content to be your shadow—always close, always present, and happiest curled up at your feet for a nap or demanding endless belly rubs. He’s making steady strides with confidence and continues to blossom with structure and positive training. Arthur does well with medium and large dogs after proper introductions but can be fear-reactive, especially with new dogs; he especially enjoys having an energetic dog buddy around. Cats are a hard no, so cat-free homes only. Because he sometimes forgets his size, he’s best with adults or homes with older children. Arthur’s stomach is sensitive (allergic to chicken), but he thrives on turkey, beef, fish, and even enjoys fruit. His ideal setup: an active family that values both play and downtime, a steady environment, and a secure yard to keep him engaged. Arthur is affectionate, goofy, and devoted—he’ll bond deeply and stick by your side. He’s ready for a forever home that matches his loyalty. Adoption includes his neuter, microchip, and vaccines. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
