About Chepo
Chepo is a gentle, soulful senior who wins everyone over wherever he goes. Surrendered at 8 years old when his family moved abroad, Chepo took the shelter’s change in stride, making quick friends with both humans and other dogs. He’s got an affectionate heart—always happy to lean in for pets, but independent enough to amuse himself with a chew toy nearby. In play groups, Chepo’s calm, dainty style shines. He can be social and playful but knows when to ask for space, making him a great match for varied canine company. He’s lived easily with dogs of all personalities, including rowdy pups, and is respectful with cats too. Now six months into a loving foster home, Chepo glides through daily routines, attentive and responsive, always coming when called and politely moving aside when asked. He’s picked up crate and leash training, even after likely living most of his life in a yard, and seems grateful to be an inside dog with humans by his side. While he thrives in a mellow home—and would love having a yard—Chepo’s up for exploring trails, visiting the beach, or lounging at home. He adjusts to new places and people with patience, and a slow introduction is all he really needs to welcome a new friend. If a steady, affectionate companion is high on your wish list, Chepo might just be the one to fill the spot. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
