Willow is a 1(ish) year old Shepherd mix weighing about 25lbs (we are guessing she will be more like 30lbs once she fills out). Willow was a stray in Kansas when she was brought to an overcrowded shelter. As most people know, black dogs in shelters have the least likely chance of making it out alive. Luckily we had a foster spot open up here in CO for Willow two days before her euthanasia date. The shelter had reached out to us specifically for Willow since she had an exceptional personality and all the staff there absolutely adored her. Willow has now been in CO a little while and is ready to find her forever home. The shelter staff was 100% right when they said Willow has the best personality. She is incredibly loving, happy, smart, and easy. Willow gets along great with all people and dogs and loves to play. She still has a good amount of puppy energy so we would love to see her go to a family or person who has another dog for her to play with, or someone who is up for taking her on daily adventures and long walks/hikes. Willow would be the perfect companion for almost anybody, but since she is social, confident, friendly, and submissive she will be great for someone who wants a dog to bring with them everywhere, on all their adventures. Willow has been off-leash trained and listens very well. She LOVES to snuggle and would prefer to be a lap dog (even though she is a little big for a true lap dog, she still tries!)
