About Loki
Loki is a purebred French Bulldog who turns two on June 10th. He’s been living with his current owner since puppyhood, but after ongoing conflict with other dogs in the home, it’s clear that Loki needs to be an only pet. He shows animal aggression that isn’t going to resolve with training—he’s simply not meant to live with other animals. Loki will only be placed in a pet-free home, no exceptions. Despite his need to be the sole pet, Loki is incredibly affectionate with people. He’s happiest cuddling on the couch, tagging along for outdoor adventures, or hanging out wherever his humans are. At his foster’s farm, he’s made friends with the llama but tries to chase smaller animals, so cats and small pets are a hard no. Bath time is tolerated, although you’ll hear about it—he’ll protest vocally but allows for all necessary grooming and Frenchie maintenance. Loki is neutered, house trained, crate trained, and up to date on vaccines, though he may need a little patience adjusting to a new schedule. He’s used to a fenced yard and a nightly stroll, so a similar setup would be ideal. Given his breed’s particular quirks and needs, Loki truly requires an adopter who understands French Bulldogs. A foster-to-adopt home is preferred, and you must be local to Adams, NY, for the initial foster period. The rescue will require an in-person meet and greet with all family members. If you’re able to provide a pet-free, breed-savvy home, Loki could be the dog you’ve been searching for. Your new best friend is just one click away.

Questions about Loki
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Loki, as a French Bulldog, does well in apartments or homes with moderate outdoor space. They appreciate comfort and benefit from a calm environment, especially since Loki needs to be the only animal.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
French Bulldogs like Loki aren't high-energy and usually require only a small yard or daily walks. Loki seems to enjoy outdoor time in a fenced yard and nighttime potty breaks.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
In general, French Bulldogs get along with older, respectful children. Loki’s main concern is sharing space with other animals, so a home with kids but no other pets could work.
