At about five years old, Trixie thrives around little dogs; she's patient and gentle with them—even when they get snappy, she takes it in stride. Watching her play softly with her smaller foster siblings is a daily comedy routine. In groups of bigger dogs, though, she hangs back and prefers subdued company, so a home with small dogs is her wheelhouse. She’s deeply bonded with her foster mom, following her everywhere and delighting in every return—no matter how short the absence. Like many herding mixes, Trixie is "mouthy" when playing, so she's best with older kids who get the difference between gentle play and real roughness. She rides well in the car, tackles walks, dog-friendly stores, and leashed adventures with zero drama. Squirrels are her nemesis—she’d chase them all day if allowed.
