About Athena

Athena is a lovely adult female Pit Bull Terrier currently working on building her trust in people. Originally, she arrived at the shelter as a very timid dog, but with the dedicated care of the staff and volunteers, she’s starting to show her true personality. Athena is searching for a peaceful, adult-only home that will allow her to gain confidence at her own pace. Ideally, she should be the only dog in the household, as we are still figuring out how she interacts with cats. Her new family must be willing to provide a calm environment, minimizing noise and visitors during her adjustment period. This will help her feel safe and secure as she settles into her forever home. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
