Babs is a female shepherd/mixed breed dog with a medium build whose coat is a lovely mix of brown and white. She is an adult and has been spayed, with vaccinations up to date. Currently fostered through Street Dog Hero, this gentle girl is ready for her forever home.

This beautiful 1–1.5-year-old shepherd mix girl arrived from San Pancho, Mexico, and is now adjusting to her foster home in the Portland area. The more you get to know her, the more you see just how special she is. Babs has a sweet, calming presence; she's affectionate, easygoing, and adores being close to people. Whether she's quietly by your side, joining you on a stroll, or soaking up affection, her happiest moments are spent with her loved ones. Babs is wonderful with people, gets along well with other dogs, and has done nicely around children. She’s even been fine with some cats. She truly seems to be a friend to everyone she meets. It’s noted that this lovely girl is house trained and walks nicely on leash. In busier places, like markets, she remains calm—content to relax while her human chats and takes in the surroundings. Her mellow, adaptable nature makes her the ideal companion. Babs has overcome a challenging past, having been found tethered with a wire that caused serious injury. Even after all she’s endured—including raising a litter at such a young age—she remains deeply trusting, tender, and eager to share love.
